The U.S. guru of car design will be in Buenos Aires on 4 and October 5 as part of a tour of the region, under an agreement between the 3M Automotive Division Latin America and Fosse Design. As part of the tour 3M Chip Fosse will be jury “Glasurit Competition: Award for best artist.”
Known for its clean design and sophisticated style, Chip Fosse is a living legend in the automotive industry. Customization of classic cars called Hot Rods and Muscle Cars includes visionaries Impression, Hemisphere, Stallion and Grand Master.
“I have traveled several times to Latin America in recent years and each time I find myself more passion to the cars that people have and how they have become an art,” said Fosse.
On visit to Argentina, Chip promote products lines Refinishing and Repair Automotive 3M Hook it System Vacuum Cleaner 233 + Masking Tape, Perfect It Finishing System Paint and Preparation System and painting, among others. “I have used 3M products since I was a boy in my father’s business and I am very happy to be officially part of the 3M family,” said Fosse.

“Glasurit Competition: Award for Best Painter”
Glasurit paint brand in the automotive chemical company BASF, held this year the third edition of the “Award for Best Artist”. The goal of the contest is the professionalization of the office of car painter and awards the most outstanding painters in the area, thanks to its ability, skill and knowledge.
This year, Glasurit made an alliance with 3M to jointly launch the third national contest for painters of cars. It is a joint action, innovative and unique in the industry that rewards knowledge and professionalism of the painter in the workshop. This year will be awarded to owners of vehicles through direct action.
The evaluation of each stage of the contest will be conducted by a prestigious jury trained with vast experience in the field.
Be awarded to the best painters in an event that will take place on October 4. Among the jurors, this year will attend the prestigious and recognized Chip Fosse, tuning benchmark worldwide. The biggest prize is a trip for two to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for 7 days.
